Brussels’ biologist Olivier Pauwels, 43 years old, doesn’t stop discovering new reptile species. He already described about seventy of them. Four years ago we interviewed him about a new species he had just discovered and described with his Thai friends. It was a viper found in the middle of the island of Phuket.

Bike for Dad Activity


On December 11, 2015 the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels organized the Bike for Dad event at the Military Sports Centre in Duisburg between 12.00-16.00 hrs. in which 129 riders participated. Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool led the bike procession along the bike route which started and finished at the Military Sports Centre and worked its way through Tervuren Park with a combined distance of 5.9 kilometres. The journey took approximately 1 hour to complete. Tervuren Park is a large park with beautiful landscape popular with Belgian leisure seekers and tourists. The bike route passed by various ponds, lakes, forests and a view of the African Museum commissioned by His Majesty King Leopold II.

France Finds Deadly Bird Flu in Heart of Foie Gras Country


The H5N1 strain of avian influenza was confirmed in a flock of about 30 backyard poultry in the village of Biras, said Christian Moreau, a spokesman for the Dordogne prefecture, which includes the Perigord region.
